IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT
On September 11th, 2001 our lives changed forever when our country was attacked. In an effort to protect you and our country, President Bush signed the USA Patriot Act into law on October 26, 2001.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. An account is a checking or savings, loan, credit card, safe deposit box, or any other like services that we offer.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may ask to see your driverīs license or other identifying documents. In some cases, identification will be requested for those banking with us prior to the enactment of the USA Patriot Act because original documentation was not obtained with the opening of the account. We proudly support all efforts to protect and maintain the security of our customers and our country. We wish to thank you for your understanding.
